Open Question Wednesday #14

Amazon recommendations are fun. I usually discover books I wouldn't have otherwise. Though sometimes it suggests books that were already on my mental to-read list, and other times it gets on a streak of Star Trek books and I have to click 'not interested', 'not interested'. But there's even a satisfaction in that, when the book in question or the author in question is one I don't like. It's like registering a vote against it.

Here's your question, what book that has yet to be released are you looking forward to?

I have several. I'm looking forward to the new Adam Dalgleish novel from P. D. James (due in November). I thought she'd retired, so it was a very pleasant surprise when I spotted it.

I'm also looking forward to the manga series Black Jack and 20th Century Boys. They're both classics that the more mature manga reader community has been awaiting for a long time.

I'm eagerly awaiting the 4th book in Bujold's Sharing Knife series so I can actually read them all. It's been a long wait!

Also the new Miles book she read from at Denvention...

Oooo. You know, I /think/ I may have read the first one.. I need to figure out which ones I have and which ones I don't.

And I should reread Miles. There's two of the those books I need to replace too. I think one has water damage and the other was one that B&N never did send me a good copy. They kept sending me one with the spine unglued.

I've been hoarding them, too. Then again, I've only ever read, like, 3 of the Miles ones so I need to get cracking!
