I'm seriously getting too tired to even think. But in case I don't have time later, here's some short notes on what I did after my last post.

Wait.. what did I do since my last post?

Apocalypse Jeopardy was kinda interesting and kinda fun. Other stuff in the same timeslot may have been better, but choices have to be made.

Opening Ceremonies was fun. Ellen Klages and Pat Murphy played librarians from both ends of the respectability spectrum and we the audience got to label things respectable or not. I wish they'd done more of the cards. OC was pretty short from the time it started to the time it ended (um.. that's the definition of short... brain not working welll..) So I think they could've done more.

I went up to the parties to get my LJ sticker and check out the FOGCon party and Carl Brandon. It didn't look like they'd started the voting yet. I wonder who won..

Because then I went off to a panel on the heroine's journey. Interesting-ish. I was getting tired by that point. And then.. left early to go to the green room to meet up with my fellow panelists. Because I had a 10:30pm panel I was on!

I think we did well, talking about non - thin, white, male, cisgendered, able-bodied, middle-ageish, non-religious people in space. And why there weren't more of them. A lot of audience participation, which I think is good because it kept people interested. And I'm glad I made notes, because my memory was failing. Couldn't even remember Starbridge! I kept coming up with Starfarers and knowing that wasn't right.

Have not had a reasonable amount of food today.

Tomorrow, I have nothing I'm obligated to go to. And I think the first panel slot was skippable. So I hope to be sleeping for awhile.

Oh! Yea! I was napping and I had just started to doze awake, when at 7pm, knockknockknock. "Turndown service!" Turndown what? You're going to turn down the covers? Of the bed I'm currently sleeping in? And this is a useful service how? I guess I lost out on little chocolates by saying no to it. What else were they going to do? Being on the Governor's Club floor is weird. You actually have to call to get ice!

I did want to check out the farmer's market at an early hour. But 6am? Ha ha ha. 8am? Ha ha. Yea, um.. maybe no market for me. Really should have some free breakfast though. That fortunately lasts until 11am.

Anyway, yea. Goodnight, minna!

I'm going to make this quick, as I want to check out the art show and get a good seat for the Not Another Race Panel, which should be tons of fun based on what I saw of last year's.

Got free breakfast. Headed out of the hotel and down the wrong direction, as I thought that's where Inn on the Park was. Turns out it was at a right angle to the way I was going. I discovered this when I was exactly opposite it. I didn't really realize, I guess, that you could cut straight through the capitol building. I walked around the outer edge of the farmer's market until I got there with a couple minutes to spare. The reading was very good. It held my interest, as readings sometimes do not. It included [livejournal.com profile] redcrowkater and [livejournal.com profile] keyan_bowes.

By the time we were pondering lunch, everyone had pretty much left. And with the farmer's market, lines were going to be long. We hit the consuite instead. This year is tofu pups, which is an improvement over the little hard leather things of last year. I didn't think I liked Tofu Pups. Maybe the Smart Dogs have made me more used to the taste. It was a little cold. I covered it in ketchup, relish, and honey mustard.

And that's about it. Tired already. More later.
