I see dead people. So what?

Is there a single show on television anymore where there isn't someone seeing dead people? What the heck is up with that?

It puts me in mind of the span of time when I was a kid when it seemed everyone was getting amnesia. Amnesia's still a popular plot, so we may be stuck with the hallucinating/psychic/poetic license dead people for quite some time.
