Playing Tourist
May. 23rd, 2007 07:07 pmHere's a list of things I'd like to do while out in California. Some are easier to accomplish than others. Some are cheaper than others. Maybe I'll start checking them off this list after I've done them. Checklists are fun.
* Set foot in the Pacific Ocean. Despite living in California for about 10 months, right on the coast even, I never did this. The ocean got reduced to 'that thing the bus drives past on my way to work'.
* Go to the San Diego Zoo. I actually hadn't thought of this until someone mentioned it. Zoos are fun and this one is supposed to be a big, famous one.
* Go to Comic Con. It's right there, how can I not? It only remains to figure out what days people are going. I won't need to bum a ride, but it would certainly make things easier. And it's more fun when you're with people at a con.
* Go to Mexico. As far as I can tell, you don't need a passport to enter and leave Mexico as long as you're going by land. I've never been there, so it'd be cool to be able to say 'I went to Mexico'. I can brush up on my lame Spanish.
Hmmm. I think that's about it. If there's something else I absolutely must do in the San Diego area, leave a comment and let me know. Free museums are always good.
