Back Issues of Magazines

So my library is giving away back issues of magazines. Tons of magazines. From 1925 onward. I know I don't need to drag a bunch of random magazines home, really. And no, we don't have any SF/F ones, though I'm sure there's some science ones down there.

Any suggestions for ones that might have interesting articles, or more interesting adverts?

General subjects? Titles? Date ranges?

I feel like I shouldn't pass up this opportunity, but I don't know what to grab really.

Ideas?

One from each year, so you have a progression in ads?

That's a good idea.

Why aren't they selling them on e-bay? I'm pretty sure the older ones at least would have semi-antique/ nostalgia value.

Probably a matter of time and (wo)manpower. We need to clear space to move our entire reference collection down there. We're getting new carpet.

Sounds like a job for the Friends!

And they still have a backlog of probably thousands of donated books.
